ANIMAL CONSERVATION & SERVICE SUMMER PROGRAMS
Our animal-based teen travel programs are consistently popular with students. The animal welfare projects incorporated into many of our summer programs enable teens to learn about a variety of species in practical settings, and to help with ongoing volunteer efforts to care for and work with animals. Along the way, participating travelers can also expect to learn so much more about themselves and their own interests.
The projects we partner with on our teen wildlife conservation and care programs involve a broad range of activities with some of the most stunning natural backdrops around the globe. Your 6th to 12th grader might find themselves helping to feed wolves in Colorado, monitoring turtles and nesting sites in Greece, assisting at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand, or helping a donkey sanctuary in The Azores.
Here at The Road Less Traveled, we are very selective about the local organizations that we work with, to help ensure our groups are only ever supporting genuinely ethical and sustainable animal projects.
Our educational summer programs teach students about the challenges that animals are facing across the world, and how their habitats and homes are being impacted by human activity on a global scale. In the process, participants in our teen wildlife conservation and care programs also get to build their global awareness, and sense of broader service to our planet.
